DR Garments ties up with Wal-Mart
August 20, 2008: DR Garments (India) Pvt Ltd is set to join hands with Wal-Mart. The Porbandar based company is a 100% export oriented unit and supplies readymade garments mainly to the European market. DR will increase its manufacturing capacity to 50,000 pieces a day after the Wal Mart deal.The company will invest Rs.155 crore to increase production.
DR has signed an MoU with Vibrant Gujarat and has acquired 3.5 lakh sq. mtrs of land in Porbandar which will start production soon.
The company has already lined up another investment of Rs.50 crore to set up a facility in the Ahmedabad Apparel Park which will have a capacity of approx 25,000 pieces per day.
