GMR to set up perishable cargo centre in Hyderabad
August 18, 2008: The GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd will set up a 13,000 tonne cargo facility for perishable commodities at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad. The APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) will give a subsidy of Rs.20 crore. The Centre for Perishable Cargo will have an initial capacity of 13,000 tpa, which will go up to 25,000 tpa in the second phase (2013-2014).
