Melapura 3rd stage to be taken up by MCC
August 14, 2008: Mysore City Corporation (MCC) will take up the third stage of the Melapura drinking water scheme for Mysore city at a cost of Rs.23.25 crore under JNNURM. The Centre will bear 80 per cent of the project cost.
The 3rd stage of Melapura project will have the capacity to supply 50 MLD. The Melapura drinking water scheme envisages drawing of water from Cauvery river near Srirangapatna. The first two stages are providing a total of 100 MLD.
