According to the 24th Quarterly Survey of Projects Investments conducted by
ProjectsToday, as of 30 September 2006, the UT had 8 projects worth Rs.57 crore.
Of the total 8 projects, 2 belong to the
State government and the remaining 6 projects to the Central government, the investments
are in the areas of shipping, real estate,
power, aviation infrastructure (airports) and storage and distribution.
The latest project implementation ratio observed for the UT is
61.3 per cent,
much higher than the national average of 44.0 per cent.
