Technip India Limited (TPIL) is a fully owned subsidiary of Technip,
Italy, which is part of global Technip Group. TPIL, headquartered in
Chennai, takes up lumpsum turnkey contracts as well as lumpsum
services contracts in the areas of chemicals, refineries,
petrochemicals, oil & gas, fertilisers and other allied fields.
Technip Group is the largest Engineering, Procurement, Construction
(EPC) turnkey contractor in Europe with a sales revenue in excess of
7 billion Euros in the financial year 2009. The Group has a total
workforce of about 23,000 people spread across the globe. Technip
has a long tradition of professional excellence and is fully
committed to Corporate Governance and transparency, safety, health
and environment, human right and sustainable development.
TPIL presently has a strength of over 900 personnel in various
disciplines working in Chennai. The work procedures, standards and
software tools deployed in Chennai office are exactly in line with
that of Technip Group worldwide and hence the work output being
delivered to the valued customers are of the highest quality. TPIL
is linked through two dedicated satellite connections to the main
operating centres of Technip in Paris and Rome and possess the state
of the art facilities like video conferencing, network link, etc.
These facilities ensure close interaction within Technip Group,
access to the data base of the Group and also enable TPIL to obtain
the back up services of Technip Group specialists as and when
necessary. TPIL have been carrying out several engineering and
project management assignments for various projects of Technip Group
spread all over the world and most of TPIL’s engineers have direct
exposure in working on these projects.
It is pertinent here to add that TPIL have so far completed five
EPC-LSTK projects with contract value ranging from Rs.100 Million to
Rs.700 Million for various customers in India viz. Chemplast Sanmar,
ONGC, Cairn Energy, Niko Resources and so on. TPIL have also carried
out numerous detailed engineering assignments both for Technip Group
worldwide as well as other customers. Presently, TPIL is handling
composite contracts for TCI Sanmar in Egypt worth about Rs.2000
Million for an EDC / VCM / PVC complex being set up in Port Said.
