AP awaits RIL gas for power project

Andhra Pradesh Power Development Company is awaiting the supply of gas from Reliance Industries' KG basin for its 2,100-mw combined cycle power plant at Nedunoor in Karimnagar district. It expects to receive gas in three months, after which the company will invite tenders from contractors.
The 3x700 mw power plant will spread over 450 acres and entail a total investment of Rs 5,400 crore. The company has signed the PPA agreement. Tata Consultancy Services is the project consultant. The project is scheduled for completion by December 2010.
