Contractor appointed for water jetties in MP
ProjectsToday: The Madhya government has appointed S.K. Jain, Bhopal, as contractor for construction of 13 water jetties in the state. The water jetties are being developed as part of intra-water transportation at Bansaqar reservoir and sites have Liven identified for the same. Of the 13 jetties, initial work on nine jetties is under way and work on the remaining four is likely to commence soon. The state government had, April 2007, invited bids the construction of the jetties, but the proposed tender was cancelled due to higher cost. Bids were re-invited in July and S.K Jain emerged as the successful bidder. Work on all the jetties is expected to complete by June this year.
