Hamirpur lift water supply scheme by July

ProjectsToday: Work on the Hamirpur lift water supply scheme at Jakhu near Jangle Beri in Himachal Pradesh is scheduled for completion by July. The scheme, estimated to cost Rs 35 crore, will supply water to habitations in Mewa and Bomson constituencies at Jakhu in Hamirpur district.

The contract was awarded to Kaveri Infrastructure and Uniprotech of Chandigarh in December 2007, The scope of work includes construction of percolation well, pump house, staff quarters, laboratory building, storage tanks, compound walls, providing, lowering, laying and jointing of pipelines, construction of anchor blocks and supporting pillars for rising main and gravity mains, and supply of laboratory equipment.
