Jagdamba Fiscal to set up slag cement unit

ProjectsToday: Jagdamba Fiscal Services Pvt Ltd plans to set up a slag cement unit with a capacity of 0.26 million tpa at Durgapur in Bardharnan district of West Ben gal with an investment of Rs 44 crore. Around six acres of land has been acquired for the project. Work on the project is expected to commence by July this year and complete by March 2009. Speaking to ProjectsToday, Pradip Kedia, Director, Jagdamba Fiscal Services, said that the company was also awaiting environment clearance for setting up an integrated steel plant at Durgapur in Bardhaman. The project comprises a 1.50 Iakh tpa pig iron plant, 1 lakh tpa coke oven plant and a 4.5-mw waste heat based power plant. Boundary works for the project is underway. Civil works are expected to commence by September 2009.

The company also plans to set up a 1.1 million tpa steel unit at Nala in Jamtara district of Jharkhand. It will include a 25x2 mw of waste heat based power plant. Mecon Consulting Engineer is the consultant.
