acquires land for Dishergarh TPP

ProjectsToday: DPSC Ltd has acquired partial land for its 250-mw power project at Dishergarh in Bardhaman district of West Bengal. The acquisition of remaining land is on. The Kolkata company has appointed Power Finance Corporation and Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd as consultants. Eastern Coalfields Ltd, a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, will supply coal. Financial closure is under way, and statutory and environment clearances is yet to be received. The project, to be set up at a cost of Rs 2,000 crore, will be executed in two phases of 125 mw each. The entire project is slated for completion by December 2011.
