Mangalore Airport to have new terminal

ProjectsToday: The ministry of environment and forests has accorded clearance for Airport Authority of India’s plans to build a new integrated passenger terminal building and apron at Mangalore Airport.

AAI officials told ProjectsToday that keeping in view the increase in passenger traffic AAI planned to construct a new terminal building at a cost of Rs 147 crore. The airport will have a capacity to handle 500 passengers. The new apron will cover an area of 43,620 sq. metres with capacity to handle fourA-310 and A-321 planes and will have two link taxiways. Work on new integrated terminal building is likely to be completed by September 2008.
