MSRDC picks JMC for Panvel flyover

ProjectsToday: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd has shortlisted JMC Projects (India) Ltd, a construction company from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to construct the proposed flyover opposite Panvel bus depot on the old Mumbai-Pune highway (NH-4).

MSRDC is expected to finalise the contract shortly and the work order will be issued by July this year with actual project work likely to commence by August, MSRDC officials disclosed to ProjectsToday.

Other companies which took part in the bidding process were Gammon India Ltd, Simplex Infrastructure Ltd, J Kumar Infrastructure Ltd and NCC Ltd.

The flyover project, estimated to cost Rs 185 crore, will stretch from km 113/700 to km 111/200. The scope of the project includes development of road widening, junction improvement and pedestrian underpass. The whole structure is likely to be centrally supported on a single pier with segmental precast box-type construction. It is expected to be 1,690m long and 17.2m wide.
