Banashankari Sugars to achieve financial closure
PROJECTSTODAY: BANASHANKARI Sugars is likely to soon achieve financial closure for its Rs 120-crore sugar plant at Ganjhalli in Raichur district of Karnataka. The project's 80 per cent cost will be funded through bank loan and 20 per cent by internal accruals. The company plans to set up the 2,500-tccpd sugar unit on 200 acres. It will include a 12-mw bagasse-based cogeneration power unit, of which 6 mw will be used for captive purpose and 6 mw for commercial purpose. Sosam Consultants has prepared the DPR, and work will commence by August.
