Bengal Danpuri plans truck terminals in WB

Bengal Danpuri Truck Terminal plans to invest around Rs.1,300 crore in three green-field projects in West Bengal. Tapan Kumar Pal, Managing Director, Bengal Danpuri Truck Terminal, told ProjectsToday that the company would set up two truck terminals and a railway terminal in the state.
The first truck terminal in Hooghly district will house 20,000 heavy goods and 40,000 light goods, and entail an investment of Rs.450 crore. Financial closure is achieved and Larsen & Toubro Ltd has been appointed as civil contractor. Civil works have just commenced.
The second terminal, at Amdanga village along NH- 34 in Nadia district, will cost around Rs 600 crore. Financial closure and land acquisition are in process. The railway terminal will be jointly developed with Central Railway near Santragachi railway station in Howrah district. The company is expected to sign an MoU with CR.
