Airports Authority of India has
appointed two consultancy firms to prepare a technical and economic feasibility
report for development of non-metro airports across the country.
Washington-based Louis Beger Group
Inc and Intercontinental Consultancy & Technocrats Pvt. has submitted their
reports on Thiruvananthapuram, Madhurai, Goa, Mangalore and Lucknow. The reports
covered area of airport operations, facilities at the airport and connectivity
of both domestic and international airports.
They are now in the process on
preparation of preliminary reports for Tiruchirapalli, Indore, Bhopal, Nagpur
and Visakhapatnam and is expected to submit the report by end May 2006.
The final report will be prepared by
incorporating corrections and suggestions of AAI.
