During question hour in the Assembly on 17 March, 2025, the government informed the House that the Ahmedabad-Rajkot Highway six-laning project will be completed by December this year.
In response to Rajkot MLA Darshita Shah’s queries regarding the project's timeline and status, Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma stated that in the first phase, 193 km of 197 km have been completed. The remaining work of this Rs 3,350 crore project will be finished by December.
Meanwhile, the state government announced the sanction of Rs 550 crore for the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, which will connect the proposed international airport to Ahmedabad city. Responding to a question from Dhandhuka MLA Kalubhai Dabhi, the government confirmed that work is ongoing.
