Amhata Hydro Energy is looking forward to setting up a hydel-based power unit at Amhata in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh.
A spokesperson for the company told ProjectsToday (PT) that it was planning to set up a 13.4 MW hydel power unit in Madhya Pradesh. The project comprises a total of four units. Unit-I will be of two MW, and Units-II, III and IV will be of 3.8 MW each.
The project is estimated to cost Rs 67 crore. Amhata Hydro Energy is in the process of achieving financial closure for the project. The land acquisition is underway and the company is waiting for the necessary clearances from the state government.
Currently, work on the project is in the planning stage. The company is scouting around for suppliers for the project and civil work is expected to commence by October 2014.
