1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Andhra Pradesh commissions 8,207 MW renewable energy till September 2020

Andhra Pradesh has installed renewable energy capacity of about 8,207 MW till 30 September 2020. The state had an installed renewable energy capacity of about 8,203 MW till 31 July 2020.

Of the 8,207 MW capacity installed till September 2020, wind energy projects took the largest share with 4,080 MW capacity, followed by solar energy with a capacity of 3,535 MW commissioned.

The top three firms with the largest wind energy capacity projects in the state were Skeiron Renewable Energy, Helios Infratech, Energon Power and Orange Anantapur Wind Power.

Skeiron Renewable has 189 MW wind project in Amidyala, Helios Infratech has 100.8 MW project in Bhadrapuram, and Energon Power and Orange Anantapur Wind Power each have 100 MW capacity projects at Beluguppa and Honnura-Palturu, respectively.

The total solar capacity commissioned up to 2019-20 was about 3,522 MW. Also, out of all the segments, only solar projects of 13.75 MW capacity were commissioned during 2020-21.

In small hydro projects, the state has commissioned a total of 103 MW capacity till 31 September 2020, while biomass, biomass energy co-generation and bagasse projects contributed a total of 443 MW to the state’s renewable energy capacity.

The share of municipal solid waste and industrial waste capacity stood at 47 MW. The total renewable energy capacity commissioned up to 2019-20 in the state was 8,194 MW.

The Andhra Pradesh government in July 2020 had announced its Renewable Energy Export Policy, 2020 which will apply to solar, wind and wind-solar hybrid projects.

Under this policy, the land in the state will be used for renewable energy projects for the purpose of export to other states.
