On November 13, the Government of Andhra Pradesh signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) totalling Rs 2.94 lakh crore in the renewable energy sector, ahead of the two-day CII Partnership Summit.
The agreements, covering areas such as pumped hydro storage, green hydrogen, wind, solar, biofuels, and energy storage, are expected to generate over 69,800 employment oportunities across various districts. Key companies involved in these projects include Navayuga Engineering, Chinta Green Energy, ReNew Group, Hero Future Energies, and others. Chief Secretary K Vijayanand emphasised that the partnerships highlight Andhra Pradesh's position as a national leader in the green energy transition.
The MoUs were exchanged in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Energy Minister Gottipati Ravikumar, and other officials, further reinforcing the state's commitment to fast-tracking clean energy development.
