Engineering and technology major Bosch has earmarked Rs 480 crore for research and development (R&D) and an additional Rs 480 crore for capital expenditure this year.
The company will channelise the investment in advanced technology such as manufacturing and future core products. Led by the infrastructure boom as witnessed in newer lines of metros, airports, and other projects, it plans to introduce more power tool solutions with a strong focus on localisation.
After the successful launch of its first hydrogen-powered demonstrator vehicle in India in June 2023, Bosch India plans to unveil the BS6 Stage-2 hydrogen engine truck by early 2024.
The company with mobility solutions as its dominant segment, followed by consumer goods energy, and building technology anticipates achieving a double-digit growth rate of 15 percent for the current year, with higher volumes and content, as well as innovation and quality-centric values.
