On 11 November, 2025, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the rapid industrial development expected in North Andhra, particularly in Vizianagaram, with initiatives like the establishment of biogas plants.
The CM virtually laid the foundation for the plants to be set up by PVS Rammohann Industries in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts. These plants, costing Rs 102 crore, will utilise agricultural waste to generate power, initially processing 50 tonne of waste per day.
The virtual event was attended by key officials, including Minister for Tribal Welfare Gummadi Sandhya Rani and Vizianagaram MLA Aditi Vijayalakshmi.
