The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has approved several significant proposals, including the capital's first transit-oriented development (TOD) housing project at Karkardooma, named "Towering Heights," which will feature 1,026 ready-to-launch two-BHK flats.
In addition, the DDA has greenlit the construction of world-class sports infrastructure in Narela, which will also serve as an education hub. The Authority also approved a change of land use for a 40.23-hectare area under the Land Pooling Policy, with 70 percent of the land in this sector now eligible for development. This is a significant milestone for the policy, which aims to pool land from urban villages to facilitate better urban planning and development.
The land pooling initiative, part of the Master Plan for Delhi-2021, covers 138 sectors across six planning zones.
