The government of Delhi has given its approval to the Delhi Metro Phase-IV project.
The project, estimated to cost Rs 49,603 crore, will be constructed within a period of six years. It will include 79 new metro stations, with 50 elevated, 28 underground, and one at grade level.
The six proposed corridors in the Phase-IV are Rithala-Bawana to Narela of 21.73 km, Janakpuri (West) to R K Ashram of 28.92 km, Mukundpur to Maujpur stretching 12.54 km, Aerocity to Tughlakabad of 20.20 km, Inderlok to Indraprastha stretching12.58 km, and Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block of 7.96 km.
The projects now awaits clearance from the Centre.
