1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Dighawara-Bandikui section of North Western Railway electrified

Union Minister of Railways, Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Piyush Goyal, inaugurated the newly electrified Dhigawara-Bandikui section of North Western Railway on 29 November 2020. 
 
He also flagged off the first train on the newly electrified route at Dhigawara station in Rajasthan. 
 
Post-electrification of this line, the route from Rewari to Ajmer has been electrified and now the electrified trains from Delhi to Ajmer will start soon. 
 
The electrification work is being done by the Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE), Prayagraj. The work of electrification of Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Madar (Ajmer) section was sanctioned by CORE and handed over to Rail Electrification project, Jaipur. 
 
A total of 23,418 foundations, 26 switching stations, six traction sub-stations and seven OHE depots have been set up for electrification on Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Madar (Ajmer). This will contribute to make cleaner and greener environment in the National Capital Region (NCR). 
 
After running of these trains, the diesel trains will be stopped, which will eliminate pollution as well as dependence on fuel imported from outside and trains will be operated from the electricity, this will also save revenue. 
 
Apart from this, the average speed of trains will increase and there will be development of industries, agro-based businesses and progress of villagers and farmers. To avoid any inconvenience to farmers, Kisan Rail is being operated by the railways to transport their agricultural products. 
 
The Indian Railways has set a target to complete electrification of its broad gauge network by December 2023. More than 66 percent of broad gauge route has already electrified. 
 
It has set a target to complete 28,143 km of railway track electrification by December 2023. With 18,065 km of electrification, the railways have recorded 371 percent increase in electrification during 2014-20 as compared to 2009-2014.
