Flipkart has leased two million sq ft of warehouse space with Pragati Warehousing in Delhi-NCR and Ludhiana to meet the growing demand from its e-commerce and retail customers.

The company has signed lease deeds for 1.2 million sq ft at Farukh Nagar, five lakh sq ft at Dharuheda in Haryana and three lakh sq ft in Ludhiana.

All the facilities are located in proximity to other large industrial clusters, as well as central business districts of Ludhiana and Delhi.

For the past three years, Pragati has been the primary turnkey services provider for Flipkart along with other major companies in Delhi-NCR, Ludhiana, and Bengaluru, developing three million sq ft of warehouse space.

The company is currently working on its upcoming projects covering three million sq ft of space for its various other clients and investors across India.

In October 2020, Walmart-owned Flipkart had acquired 140 acre to set up its largest fulfilment centre in Asia at Manesar in Gurugram in a bid to scale up its fulfilment infrastructure to cater to increased demand post Covid.

The development is expected to cost Rs 3,500 crore and create over 12,000 jobs in Haryana.
