Global Hospitals is planning to expand its presence in New Delhi and Kolkata.
Recently, the company raised Rs 180 crore through PE fund Everstone Capital, which now holds 20 per cent stake in Global Hospitals. The company plans to utilise funds to set up new hospitals in New Delhi, Kolkata, Africa, and West Asia, perhaps in the next year.
At present, the company has 2,000 beds across Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad, of which 1,400 beds are operational.
Besides, the company is planning to expand its footprints in Tier-II cities. For the purpose, Global Hospitals is in talks with seven to eight players as a third party management for the hospitals. In this asset light model, the company will look into only brand and management, while the investment will be by others.
