Goyal Aluminium is foraying into the electric vehicle (EV) segment through the newly-incorporated venture named, Wroley E India to manufacture electric scooters and low-speed scooters for the domestic market.
The company plans to launch high-speed electric scooters in April, 2023, for which it has secured approval from the Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT).
The move into the EV space is aligned to 'Clean India and Green India' initiative of the government amidst rising pollution levels.
Wroley E India has obtained sanction for financing through Shri Ram Finance, which will allow customers to purchase its electric scooter in monthly instalments. There is also a focus on expanding the company’s dealership network across the country to 150 before March 2024, as per the company's plans.
