Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has clinched a Rs 276.44 crore order
from North Eastern Electric Power Corporation, Shillong, for the construction of
Pare Hydro Electric project (2x55 MW) on the Dikrong river in the Papumpare
district of Arunachal Pradesh.
HCC's scope of work will comprise construction of concrete gravity dam,
spillway and appurtenant works, coffer dam and diversion tunnel, HRT intake,
head race tunnel including adits, surge shaft, civil works of pressure shaft,
powerhouse and tailrace tunnel.
The height of the concrete gravity dam will be 78 mtrs, length of HRT (having
7.5 dia modified horse shoe shape tunnel) will be 2.81 km, the surge shaft will
be 15 mtrs dia, 58 mtrs depth and orifice diameter of 3.0 mtrs. Meanwhile, the
power house will have a size of 68x23 mtrs having two units of 55 MW each. The
project is slated to be completed in 36 months.
