Hyderabad-based Hetero Group will be investing Rs 1,000 crore to expand its pharmaceutical and specialist business in Andhra Pradesh.

The expansion project was announced at the Global Investors Summit 2023 held in Visakhapatnam on 3-4 March, 2023. The expansion is expected to generate employment for a minimum of 3,000 people.

The Group highlighted the choice of Andhra Pradesh for its expansion activities, which is attributed to the well-established ecosystem in the state.

The 2.5 billion USD pharma group employs over 10,000 people directly and indirectly in Andhra Pradesh, and supplies about 40 percent of global HIV medicines that are manufactured in the state.
