IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company has received the Letter of Award (LoA) from Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL), Kolkata, for construction of metro stations in West Bengal.
The LoA has been issued for the construction of seven elevated metro stations from Sub CBD-I to Titumir in New Garia-Airport Metro Corridor of Kolkata Metro Line. The order, estimated to cost Rs 299.76 crore, is to be completed within 36 months from the date of issue of the LoA.
IL&FS is already implementing two railway contracts for RVNL worth Rs 500 crore. Of these two, one involves construction of a new broad gauge railway line in Kadapa, Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, and the other involves doubling of Bhigwan-Mohol Section (127.14 km) part of Daund-Gulbarga Doubling in Solapur division of Central Railway in Maharashtra.
