Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has laid the foundation stone for a Rs 1,468-crore educational and medical complex in Sironcha taluka, Gadchiroli district.
The sprawling 264-acre facility will host a 350-bed multispecialty hospital, a medical college, and institutes for engineering, dentistry, and nursing, managed by Ruby Hospital and Wellness. This project is poised to enhance healthcare, education, and employment opportunities in Maharashtra's southernmost region, which borders Telangana and Chhattisgarh. The move aligns with the state's effort to foster inclusive development and reduce dependency on distant cities like Nagpur, Hyderabad, and Pune.
Additionally, CM Fadnavis unveiled plans for Gadchiroli to become a Green Steel Hub, marking a key step in integrating the district into Maharashtra's broader growth trajectory. Rana Suryawanshi, industrialist and philanthropist, praised the project’s potential for long-term regional development.
