The Ministry of Power (MoP) has sanctioned revamped distribution sector scheme (RDSS) for the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) zone of New Delhi, and the project is estimated to cost around Rs 337 crore.
NMDC signed the 'Implementation Agreement' with Power Finance Corporation (PFC) to enhance the quality, reliability and affordability of power supply in NDMC, as well as the proposed central vista area.
The RDSS scheme seeks to create a financially sustainable and operationally efficient distribution sector. This scheme involves the upgradation of existing distribution infrastructure, which includes the replacement of old infrastructure, automation of feeders for better reliability and installing energy accounting metres.
