L&T's Metallurgical, Material Handling & Water Operating Company has bagged orders amounting to Rs 966 crore from Sterlite Industries India, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam and Gujarat Water Infrastructure.
The company has secured an order valued at Rs 225 crore from Sterlite Industries India for the construction of four lakh tpa Smelter Plant at Tuticorin (Tamil Nadu). The scope of the project involves complete civil & structural works for concentrate handling area, smelter & refinery, acid plants & utilities including engineering. The project is to be completed in 18 months.
The Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam has awarded L&T with a Rs 488 crore order for implementing JNNURM Scheme. Out of this, Rs 274 crore will go to provide sewage system to Varanasi in 30 months, Rs 121 crore to provide water supply to Allahabad in 24 months and Rs 93 crore to waste water management system for Mathura in 24 months.
The company has also won a Rs 253 crore order from Gujarat Water Infrastructure for implementing NC Water Supply Scheme in Gujarat, to be completed in 18 months.
