Footwear brand, Paragon, is planning to set up a new plant in Maharashtra.
The new facility is still in the planning stage and will be set up in the next financial year. Paragon is likely to narrow down a location in the Pune, Nashik or Nagpur belts.
The plant will produce polyurethane (PU) and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) footwear and is estimated to entail an investment of Rs 50 crore.
While the company is yet to finalise the capacity, approximately 15,000-20,000 pairs a day can be manufactured at the plant.
Paragon, which has a presence in the four southern states, has a total production capacity (inhouse) of 4.5 lakh footwear pairs a day. Apart from its inhouse production, the footwear company has also outsourced production to Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kottayam, Kolkata and other places.
