1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

RLDA conducts online pre-bid meeting for Tirupati railway station revamp

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has conducted an online pre-bid meeting for redevelopment of the Tirupati railway station in Andhra Pradesh.


The meeting was attended by several prospective developers including GMR Group, Oberoi Group and Ambience. The station is estimated to be redeveloped at a cost of Rs 510 crore and it will be built through the public private partnership (PPP) mode on the design, build, finance, operate, transfer (model).

The cost of the redevelopment portion is Rs 230 crore. As per the proposed plan, the station will have areas like administrative areas, security and station operation staff area and miscellaneous technical area. The Indian Railways aims to redevelop the station within three years, and the tenders will be opened in mid-June 2020.

The redeveloped station will also be equipped with amenities like hospitality, executive lounge, food court and dormitories. The station will be redeveloped in an area of three acre of vacant land which belongs to the Railways. It will be built based on an airport model, the station will have separate entry and exit points and also consist of separate departure and arrival halls. There will also be designated drop-off and pick-up points outside the station.

The building will be a green one, with a sustainable and efficient energy design, maximum use of natural light and ventilation. Air space and land parcels will be developed into commercial spaces for retail and revenue generation purposes.

The station will be differently-abled-friendly, having amenities like access ramps, elevators and tactile flooring. The developer will be bound to operate and maintain the station for a concession period of 60 years before it can be transferred.
