Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on 1 June, 2023 laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 53 projects including roads, railway overbridge (ROB) and bridges amounting to Rs 3,377.55 crore. The projects will be implemented by the Public Works Department (PWD).
The CM informed that the state government is building about 1.30 lakh km of roads at a project cost of upwards of Rs 70,000 thousand crore. In the last four years, the state government has built 61,000 km of roads with a Rs 30,000 crore outlay, while Rs 42,000 crore have been issued for the construction of 70,000 km of roads.
The event also saw the inauguration of the new portal of PWD.
