Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC)
has shortlisted Tata Power and Reliance Energy for constructing two 100 MW group
captive plants in industrial areas of MIDC that encounter erratic power
supplies.
Both the companies have submitted their technical
and financial bids. MIDC is likely to take a final decision on the issue by the
end of April 2005.
Wartsila India and Larsen & Toubro were also
in the fray.
