Serentica Renewables has bagged contracts worth Rs 10,000 crore for its upcoming projects to develop 1.5 GW of renewable energy (RE) capacity in India. It will set up solar and wind capacities across the states where it has secured connectivity to the inter-state transmission system (ISTS).
Serentica has partnered with firms such as Suzlon, Siemens Gamesa, and Envision for the wind-based projects in Maharashtra and Karnataka. Moreover, solar modules in Rajasthan and Maharashtra will provided by Jinko Solar and Trina Solar.
The procurement and construction work will be implemented by Suzlon, Sterling & Wilson, Amara Raja Power Systems, EverRenew, and Rays Power. The company expects to commission the work on the project by FY25.
The KKR-backed firm has signed contracts to supply 2.5 GW of RE to commercial and industrial consumers. Serentica Renewables will raise fund of around USD 250 million from KKR in this agreement.
