Six firms have inked an agreement to develop Phase-II of the IT campus of Kochi Infopark, in Kerala.
The companies that struck the deal with Infopark, a promotor of the project, are: UST Global; Trans Asia; Claysys Technologies; Syscon group; Brigade Enterprises; and Media Systems. Ferston Infratel and Abad Builders jointly proposed to develop the IT infrastructure.
The campus project, spread over 160 acre, is estimated to cost Rs 2,500 crore.
Phase-II will have all the amenities of an ultra-modern IT park with common internal roads, 220 kV gas insulated substation, storm water drains, cable trenches, data connectivity as well as water treatment and supply.
Cognizant has already taken 15 acre in Phase-II for developing the campus.
Phase-I of the campus will be ready for operations this year. In Phase I, work on the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) campus and Brigade campus is also progressing as per schedule. The TCS campus will be completed by the second quarter of this year, while Phase-I of the Brigade campus will be ready for operation by the first quarter of 2015.
