1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Twenty five percent work completed on Sivok-Rangpo GC Rail Line Project

Northeast Frontier Railway has undertaken development of 44.39 km Sivok-Rangpo new broad gauge railway line in Sikkim and West Bengal. The line will pass from Raing, Gielkhola, Teesta Bazaar, Melli and Rangpo.

Of this, Teesta Bazaar will be developed as an underground railway station. The project involves 19 bridges with four manned level crossings along with track. It will also comprise a total of 13 tunnels along the longest tunnel of 5,270 mtr and the smallest tunnel covers 538 mtr.

The foundation stone for the project was laid on 29 October 2009 by the then Vice President M Hamid Ansari. The work on the project was commenced in March 2010. In May 2010, Ircon International entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Northeast Frontier Railway for execution of linking Sikkim to the rest of the country through rail.

As per latest information available with Projects Today, around 25 percent work on the project has been completed. Work on the tunnel is still underway. The project worth Rs 4,800 crore is now re-scheduled for December 2023.
