1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

USAID to fund Tanzania’s water supply scheme

The government of Tanzania is set to receive financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for water supply project scheme aimed at providing access to safe and clean drinking water.

The water project is among 16 projects under the Water Resources Integration Development Initiative (WARIDI) implemented between November 2017 and October 2018.

An additional 34 water projects will be constructed between 2019 and 2021. The 16 water projects serve more than 1,60,000 people. The WARIDI initiative was implemented with an aim of promoting integrated water resources management and delivery services. It has a budget cost of USD 48 million with a focus area on Wami-Ruvu and Rufiji Water Basins of Tanzania.

The initiative is working closely with Tanzania’s public and private entities, civil society, to improve equitable delivery of water services and enhance integrated watershed management approaches from the basin to the household level. The project scheme was commissioned in Msowero village, Kilosa district in Morogoro village and it is expected to benefit around 14,000 villagers from the two regions.
