UltraTech Cement is planning to expand capacity of coal-based power unit from 10 MW to 15 MW at Korpana in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra.
The project worth Rs 140 crore also comprises a new unit of waste heat recovery-based power project with a capacity of 16 MW.
In December 2019, the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) granted environment clearance to set up the project.
As per information available with Projects Today, order to develop the project will be placed by February 2020.
