VCI Global, a Nasdaq-listed company based in Malaysia, will partner with Kinesis Manufacturing Solutions to establish India’s first semiconductor wire manufacturing facility.
The plant, located in Chennai, will span 25,000 sq. ft. with an initial USD 3.5 million investment. The operations will commence in Q3/2025 with one production line. Loh Beng Siew, who previously set up Ultra Clean Technology’s first Malaysian factory, will lead the venture.
As per VCI Global, there are plans to expand to four production lines in the near future. Group Executive Chairman and CEO Dato’ Victor Hoo stated that the venture would position VCI Global as a leading semiconductor supplier in India.
VCI Global will hold a 51 percent stake in the joint venture, while Kinesis will own 49 percent.
