1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

World's first electrified tunnel to run double-stack containers

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) conducted a tunnel-breaking ceremony for completion of caving work for the one km long tunnel of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) through Aravalli mountain range, near Sohna in Haryana.
This will be the world’s first electrified rail tunnel fit to run double-stack containers. The tunnel connects Mewat and Gurugram districts of Haryana and negotiates a steep gradient on the uphill and downhill slope of the Aravalli range. 
The work of tunnel has been completed in a record time of less than a year time. The last blasting of the tunnel which is situated on the Rewari-Dadri section was done on 24 July 2020. The entire section in the tunnel will be electrified due to which it has increased the height of the tunnel. 
The D-shaped tunnel has a cross-sectional area of 150 sqmtr to accommodate double line with higher overhead equipment (OHE) to enable double-stack container movement on WDFC. Also, cross-sectional areawise, it is one of the biggest railway tunnels in India. 
The double line electrified track for double stacks train movement, the dimension of tunnel is 14.5 mtr and 10.5 mtr height in straight portion and 15 mtr wide and 12.5 mtr. 
One end of the tunnel is near Rewari and is called Portal-1 or west portal while the other end of the tunnel at Dadri is designated as Portal-2 or east portal. 
There are a total of six tunnels in both the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors. In WDFC, there are one km long Sohna Tunnel, 320 mtr long Vasai Detour North Tunnel and 430 mtr long Vasai Detour South Tunnel. 
Likewise, EDFC also has three tunnels measuring 150 mtr, 475 mtr and 300 mtr in the SonnagarGomoh section. DFCCIL has run more than 1,600 trains in the Bhadan-Khurja section of EDFC and the Madar-Rewari section of WDFC till date. 
The Eastern (excluding the PPP section) and Western DFC is expected to be completed in June 2022. 
Geologically, the tunnel is safe and stable as it is caved through 2,500 to 500 million year old proterozoic rocks mainly quartzite, schists and slates of Alwar/Azabgarh groups of Delhi supergroup rocks which have a high bearing capacity. Double stack containers and 25 tonne axle load freight trains will run through this tunnel at a speed of 100 km per hour.
