The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has initiated development of the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) 2.0 in Sector-10, spanning 206 acres, aimed at attracting domestic and global electronics firms to create a national hub for high-tech manufacturing.
Design Associates Incorporation will handle internal development, slated for completion by 31 January, 2028. “The EMC project is strategically planned to cater to a wide range of sectors, including automotive electronics, industrial and consumer electronics, computer hardware, communication systems, and components for e-mobility,” said OSD Shailendra Bhati.
The Rs 485 crore project will receive Rs 144 crore Central assistance from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), with YEIDA funding the rest. Of the total land, 122 acres are earmarked for industries, ready-built factory sheds, and a flatted factory complex housing 176 units of varying sizes.
Havells India, the anchor unit, will invest Rs 800 crore over 50 acres, generating 1,000 work roles, with production from 2026. Other LoI recipients include Dixon Technologies, Ascent-K Circuit, Aurionpro ToshiAutomatic Systems, and Neenjas Electric, pending state approval.
