1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

AP Investment Promotion Board gives nod for six projects

The Andhra Pradesh (AP) Investment Promotion Board has given its nod for six major project proposals with a total investment of Rs 6,500 crore.

 

The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved major projects of multinational companies like PepsiCo, Cadbury, Colgate, Johnson & Johnson, Gerdau Steels and ITC (expansion).

 

The SIPB has cleared the proposals of PepsiCo worth Rs 1,200 crore; Cadbury India worth Rs 2,500 crore; Colgate Rs 275 crore; Johnson & Johnson worth Rs 400 crore; Gerdau Steel Rs 1,270 crore; and ITC Rs 828 crore.

 

All the above companies have already signed MoUs with the state government. PepsiCo, Cadbury, Johnson & Johnson, and Colgate are setting up greenfield plants, while Gerdau Steel (steel manufacturing) and ITC (paper) are investing in capacity expansion of the existing plants.
