Alstom T&D India has secured contracts worth Rs 130 crore from Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (APTRANSCO).
The order has been received for two air-insulated substation projects. The first order, worth Rs 66.9 crore, has been received to supply the 400 kV air-insulated substation at Suryapet in Nalagonda district. The second order, worth Rs 63.3 crore, has been secured to supply Kamavarapukota 400 kV air-insulated substation at West Godavari district. This substation has a transformation capacity of 2 x 315 MVA.
The scope of work for both the substations includes design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 400/220/132 kV air-insulated substation.
Alstom's 400 kV air-insulated substations will help to meet energy demand by transporting the power produced at Hinduja National Power Corporation's 1,040 MW coal-based thermal power station in Vishakhapatnam district across the state.
