At its 11th meeting, the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, approved 30 investment proposals worth Rs 1.14 lakh crore.
The projects span sectors like IT, fuel, tourism, aerospace, and food processing, and are expected to create employment for 67,000 people. A highlight is Raiden Infotech India’s Rs 87,520 crore project—India's largest FDI in a single project, aimed at developing a data centre across three campuses in Visakhapatnam. The CM announced the creation of three economic regions to bolster industrial growth and instructed officials to accelerate infrastructure development and project implementation.
The SIPB also resolved to fast-track the Jindal Steel Plant. So far, Andhra Pradesh has approved Rs seven lakh crore in investments through SIPB meetings, potentially generating work opportunities for 6.2 lakh people.
