The Chennai-based Apollo Hospital Enterprise will soon expand its base in Jharkhand by constructing its super speciality hospital in Ranchi district of the state.
The 200-bed hospital will be spread over 2.8 acre land, on a lease of 30 years. The land for the hospital has been allotted by the government of Jharkhand.
The super speciality hospital will be developed at a cost of Rs 100 crore and is expected to be completed in 21 months.
For setting up the hospital, Hemant Soren, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, has given the Letter of Award (LoA) to Apollo Hospital Enterprise.
The aim of setting up this hospital is to provide a better healthcare system to the people of Jharkhand who often have to go to the Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai branches of the hospital for treatment.
Besides, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation has signed an agreement with Dev Kamal Hospital to start another hospital in the district.
