The cabinet has granted in-principal approval for an MoU between the governments of India and China, for setting up industrial parks in the country.
The details of the agreement will be available only after signing of the memorandum. The government has identified Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Karnataka for setting up the proposed industrial park, but security concerns stalled their finalisation.
The government of China is interested in investing in India, in sectors such as manufacturing, agro-processing and tourism. It has offered to set up the proposed park in Nashik, Maharashtra.
